Northern Cyprus, especially but not only the Kyrenia district, offers affordable, high-quality English-language international schooling. Attracting many overseas families, the region features mostly day schools, with some boarding options in Kyrenia as well. Some schools also offer multiple language classes even for young children, these are for example German, French and Spanish.
When choosing to purchase a property in Turkey and or the TRNC for families with children, consider the location carefully. In Turkey, developments are often near schools, but in Northern Cyprus, especially Kyrenia, it is advised to select a school first due to heavy rush hour traffic and the required planning for which cross-town school bus services are available. In Northern Cyprus, key private international English-speaking schools are found in Kyrenia (Girne) on the North Coast, including The English School of Kyrenia in Bellapais and the Necat British College in Alsancak. The American College is another option located in Lefkoşa.

- Necat British College, Alsancak (Kyrenia) and Lefkoşa (Nicosia): With preschool to high school levels, it offers the English Early Years Foundation Stage, topic-based learning, preparation for IGCSE, AS/A Levels, and BTEC qualifications.
