In Türkiye, house sales decreased by 0.4% in 2022 compared to the previous year and became a million 485 thousand 622. For the house sales of 2022, İstanbul had the highest share of house sales with 17.5% and 259 thousand 654 house sales. The followers of Istanbul were Ankara with 126 thousand 166 house sales with 8.5% and İzmir with 83 thousand 502 house sales with 5.6% share. The provinces with the lowest number of sales were Ardahan with 468, Hakkari with 910, and Bayburt with 956 house sales.
Mortgage-financed sales decreased by %51.8 compared to December 2021 at 21,796 and %10.5 total sales share, (December 2021: %19.7). In 2022, mortgaged house sales decreased by 4.8% compared to the previous year and became 280 thousand 320. The share of mortgaged house sales was 10.5% for December 2022 and 18.9% for 2022.
As a result of other real estate sales 186,167 real estates were sold. other real estate sales increased by 2.7% compared to December 2021. Other house sales had an 89.5% share of all house sales.
77,889 real estate were sold for the first time ( new construction sales ). The number of real estates sold for the first time increased by % 1.5 compared to December 2021. of all real estate sales new real estate sales share in Turkey %37.5 (December 2021: %30.9 ).
In the sale of second-hand real estate, a total of 130,074 second-hand houses were sold. Second-hand sales decreased by %13.1 compared to December 2021.
Real estate sales to foreigners in Turkey over the same month of the previous year increased by %15.2, real estate sales to foreigners had 4.5 % share of all Real estate sales in December. İstanbul ranked first with 24 thousand 953 sales to foreigners. The followers of İstanbul were Antalya with 21 thousand 860 house sales and Mersin with 4 thousand 316 house sales to foreigners.
