Development of the Real Estate Sector in Turkey in March 2026 – House and Commercial Property Sales Statistics
In Türkiye, a total of 113,367 houses were sold in March 2026, representing a decrease of 2.1% compared to the same month of the previous year.
First-time house sales increased by 1.3% to 35,725 units, while second-hand house sales decreased by 3.6% to 77,642 units. First-time sales accounted for 31.5% of total house sales, while second-hand sales represented 68.5%.
Mortgaged house sales increased by 35.9% to 25,978 units. Other house sales decreased by 9.6% to 87,389 units. During the January–March 2026 period, total house sales reached 349,396 units, representing a decrease of 0.3% compared to the same period of 2025.
House sales to foreign buyers decreased by 20.0% to 1,353 units, accounting for 1.2% of all house sales. Russian citizens purchased the highest number of properties with 229 sales, followed by Iranian citizens with 130 and German citizens with 84.
A total of 13,499 commercial properties were sold in March 2026, representing a decrease of 10.5% compared to March 2025. First-time commercial property sales decreased by 5.4% to 3,787 units, while second-hand sales decreased by 12.3% to 9,712 units.
Mortgaged commercial property sales increased by 60.1% to 698 units, while other commercial property sales decreased by 12.6% to 12,801 units.
