In Türkiye, a total of 143,319 houses were sold in August 2025 — an increase of 6.8% compared to the same month of the previous year.
The provinces with the highest number of house sales were İstanbul with 21,814,
Ankara with 12,419, and İzmir with 7,695.
The provinces with the lowest numbers were Ardahan with 49,
Bayburt with 105, and Tunceli with 138.

The provinces with the highest number of house sales were İstanbul with 23,152, Ankara with 12,491, and İzmir with 7,815, while the lowest numbers were recorded in Ardahan (58), Bayburt (93), and Hakkari (103).

Mortgaged house sales reached 18,425 in July, up 60.3% year-on-year, accounting for 12.9% of all sales.
In the January–July period, mortgaged sales rose by 93.2% to 121,515.
Of these, 4,438 mortgaged sales in July and 28,884 in January–July were first sales.
Other House Sales
Other house sales totaled 124,433 in July, up 7.6% year-on-year, representing 87.1% of all transactions.
During January–July, other sales increased by 17.1% to 713,236.
House Sales by Type
First sales amounted to 43,984 in July (+7.8% y/y), accounting for 30.8% of total sales.
In January–July, first sales rose 17.5% to 251,608.
Second-hand sales reached 98,874 in July (+14.6% y/y), making up 69.2% of total sales.
In January–July, second-hand sales increased 27.3% to 583,143.
House Sales to Foreigners
Sales to foreigners totaled 1,913 in July 2025 (–18.6% y/y), with a share of 1.3% of all sales.
The top provinces were İstanbul (643), Antalya (642), and Mersin (175).
In January–July, sales to foreigners decreased by 12.1% to 11,267.
By nationality, most purchases were made by citizens of the Russian Federation (315), Iran (152), and Germany (135).
