Mortgaged house sales reached 16,778 in February, a 90.1% increase compared to February 2024. They accounted for 14.9% of all house sales. In the January–February period, mortgaged house sales increased by 127.3% and reached 33,504.
Other house sales reached 96,040 in February, a 12.9% increase compared to February 2024. They made up 85.1% of all house sales. For January–February, these sales rose by 20.1% to 191,487.
33,784 houses were sold for the first time in February, an increase of 18.2%. First sales made up 29.9% of all transactions. In January–February, first sales totaled 66,569 – a 23.6% increase.
Second-hand sales reached 79,034, an increase of 21.0%. These accounted for 70.1% of total house sales. In the first two months of the year, second-hand sales totaled 158,422, marking a 31.6% growth.
In February, 1,457 houses were sold to foreigners, a decrease of 21.1% compared to last year. Foreign sales made up 1.3% of total transactions. Top provinces were İstanbul with 539, Antalya with 503, and Mersin with 89.
In January–February, foreign house sales dropped 23.1% to 3,004.
The most houses in February were sold to citizens of Russia (256), Iran (133), and Iraq (99).
