In a move to enhance comfort and speed of travel between Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), a private airline has launched VIP helicopter taxi flights for exclusive passengers.

The inaugural flight took off from Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport, carrying TRNC Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu, along with Minister of Public Works and Transport Erhan Arıklı. The helicopter successfully landed at Ercan Airport in Nicosia.

Following the flight, Minister Ataoğlu stated that this new air transport service will strengthen the ties between Türkiye and TRNC even further. He noted that although the service currently focuses on VIP transportation, there are also plans to expand into domestic routes.

Minister Arıklı highlighted that this initiative will help accelerate transportation between the two countries and announced that flights from cities such as Adana and Mersin will begin soon.

This development marks a new era in air connectivity, making the journey between Türkiye and Northern Cyprus more luxurious and efficient than ever before.
